  • New Projects on the Extended Mind and Religion: External Memory Traces in Vajrayāna Buddhism – This project explores the Tibetan Buddhist belief that, at the moment of death, a person clings to their final memory and emotional state, which then persists in a disembodied form. These emotional residues are thought to linger in physical spaces, influencing others and giving rise to phenomena such as the "haunted home." The project investigates the philosophical implications of such emotional memory as a non-cognitive, external trace: one that exists without any neurological substrate.
